Entry Austria
Pre-Travel-Clearance
As of January 15, a new entry regulation applies in Austria. This means that entry into Austria is subject to registration. The Pre-Travel Clearance Form is mandatory for every person entering Austria. In this form, among other things, data such as first and last name, date of birth, email address, residential or residence address in Austria, date of entry, any date of departure (optional), means of transport used (optional), as well as the countries of residence of the previous 10 days.
IMPORTANT: Since you are entering Austria as a Shape Academy employee for professional reasons, you are exempt from the quarantine requirement, but you still need to register. In the course of your registration, you can indicate that you are entering for professional reasons.
IMPORTANT: You must be able to present the Pre-Travel Clearance Form either electronically or in printed form when entering the country.
Below this paragraph is the link to the Pre-Travel Clearance Form and the download link to instructions for error-free registration.
Entry ban United Kingdom
A landing ban has been imposed in Austria for aircraft coming from the United Kingdom from 00:00 on 22 December 2020 until 24:00 on 24 January 2021 due to a newly emerged variant of the COVID-19 virus, which is believed to be highly infectious. Numerous other European countries have imposed similar flight bans, and all ferry traffic to neighboring countries and Eurotunnel connections to France and Belgium have also been suspended until further notice.
For all Shape Academy employees this means that no entry to Austria is possible until at least 24.01, as no entry for professional reasons is allowed either.
Entry requirements as of December 19
As of December 19, 2020, new entry regulations will come into effect. Since you are entering Austria as a Shape Academy employee for professional reasons, you are not required to undergo a 10-day quarantine. However, you must carry the following documents with you when crossing the border:
- Confirmation from your employer (sent to you by Shape Academy).
- A medical certificate stating that you have tested negative for COVID 19. The test must have been taken no more than 72 hours ago at the time of entry.
Medical certificate
Medical certificates are used to prove that the person listed on the certificate has tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 by PCR or antigen testing. They are invalid if the sample collection at the time of entry was more than 72 hours ago.
IMPORTANT: We recommend that you perform an antigen test. This test is much more practical than a PCR test. You will receive financial support for the costs incurred.
The certificates must comply with a certain format. You can download the template here:

If you are required to enter quarantine according to the chart above, you can obtain an exemption by using the following authorization. The authorization by the cantonal authority must be made by means of an e-mail to the following e-mail address (depending on which canton you are going to).
